What is the cost of Musafer?

The cost of Musafer for member whose age band (0-18 years) is AED 250 excluding VAT, and for the age band (19-99 years) is AED 399 excluding VAT.

How long does it take to receive the insurance certificate after enrolling in Musafer?

It will take 48 hours from successful application. After enrolling (by entering all required information), you will receive an Email confirming the application process. You will receive the insurance certificate, confirming your coverage, within 48 hours after successful application.

Can I enroll in Musafer when I am already abroad?

Yes, you can apply, but coverage will start after 48 hours from the submission of the application. It will not cover a medical emergency before the policy effective date.

What is an emergency?

"Emergency" - The acute onset of a medical or surgical condition manifested by acute symptoms of sufficient severity, including pain, that the absence of immediate treatment at health facility could reasonably be expected to result in placing the patient’s health or bodily functions in serious jeopardy or dysfunction of any body organ or part.

How can I reimburse my medical emergency costs?

If your claims falls below AED 10,000, you can submit your claim online. If your claim is AED 10,000 or higher, please submit it at one of our branches.

What documents do I have to provide for getting reimbursed?

Original claim form and

  • Original detailed invoice with service date.
  • Original prescription for medication.
  • Investigation results and/or reports (lab tests, x-ray etc.) should be attached for procedures exceeding AED 1,000.

What is the time limitation to submit my reimbursement claims after the treatment is done?

You must submit your reimbursement claims to Daman within 180 days from the last treatment date for service(s) availed outside of the UAE.

How long does a reimbursement claim usually take to be processed and reimbursed?

Reimbursement of claims should be finalized within 15 business days after successful submission of all required documents.
